Hi! My name is Kelly Burney. I am the part-time, K-8 computer teacher at Lansing Christian School. I also help out in our Spanish Immersion program as the program point person, and work along Tiffany Wells in enrollment and admissions. I graduated from Trinity Christian College in 2007, with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and earned my Master's Degree in Special Education at Trinity as well in 2014. I taught 5th grade in the public schools for 6 years full time and saw the power of technology to transform how we teach and engage students in a powerful and unique way. As an LCS alum and parent of 3 current students, I am very excited to be a part of this wonderful staff and community for a 6th year.

- Becoming responsible digital citizens, who reflect Christ in our use of technology
- Developing keyboarding skills with a focus on speed as well as accuracy
- Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to produce work for class and everyday life
- Using the internet to conduct research efficiently and effectively
- Using software and websites to practice skills and gain knowledge related to classroom work
- Exploring the world and languages of coding to solve problems and create programs
- Learning and practicing the art of creating and delivering meaningful presentations
- Making decisions about what technology to use to best accomplish the task at hand
- Learning about the basic parts and construction of computer hardware
